MU recruiting REU students

Marshall University will once again be hosting a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) this summer.

Application review will begin March 14, 2011, but applications will be accepted until all 12 positions are filled. Students will be matched with research mentors from the math, physics, or chemistry departments. Mentors will direct the students in carefully selected problems from the mentors' research interests. Students will also learn about the problems, techniques, and tools common to all scientific computing.

For more information, see: http://www.marshall.edu/reu.

The standard requirements for REU participation apply, the most important of which may be that the applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and the applicant must be an undergraduate during the summer -- seniors graduating at the end of the spring semester are not eligible.
