SC11 Conference Registration Open

SC11 will be the 24th consecutive year of the SC Conference series – once again featuring a Technical Program, industry and research exhibits, Education Program and many other activities. SC11 is the one place where attendees can see tomorrow’s technology being used to solve world-class challenge problems today.

The SC11 early registration deadline is October 17th. The fee structure for SC11 makes it even more advantageous to register early this year. Registering early can save you up to $250 off your technical program registration (depending on your registration category) or up to $305 off tutorial registration.

Student Volunteers

We encourage undergraduate and graduate students to apply as volunteers to help with the administration of the conference. In exchange for volunteering, you will receive complimentary conference registration, housing (for out-of-town volunteers), and most meals. In addition, we provide limited support for transportation expenses (such as airfare) for international students and students from groups that traditionally have been underrepresented in HPC (African Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, the physically challenged and women).

As a student volunteer, you will have an opportunity to learn about and discuss the latest high performance computing and networking technologies and meet leading researchers from around the world while, at the same time, contributing to the success of SC11. Student volunteers are expected to be available to work 4-5 hours per day during the week of the conference. We require no special skills or experience for most volunteer positions, but some familiarity with computing platforms, audio/visual equipment, or office equipment may be helpful.

Application Submissions deadline: August 12, 2011
Successful applicants will be notified of their acceptance by September 9, 2011.

Student Volunteer application forms are available at the SC11 Submissions site at http://submissions.supercomputing.org.
If you have questions, please send email to student-vols @ info.supercomputing.org.
